Clinical Trial Financial & Logistics Suite

In a landmark collaboration, we were subcontracted by a leading software agency to lend our expertise in software development and UI design towards the creation of a pioneering application. This project was commissioned by a multi-billion dollar biopharmaceutical solutions provider, aimed at redefining the way they manage and facilitate patient care, expenses, and logistical arrangements. 

Our contribution spanned the full spectrum of software development and user interface design, where we worked as part of an Agile team that was flexible, efficient and produced work of the highest standards of quality. The team consisted of seasoned developers, software testers, and business analysts, all working in concert to navigate the complex requirements and challenges presented by such a comprehensive system.

The software we helped develop offers a myriad of functionalities designed to simplify and enhance the patient experience during medical trials. Patients can now easily view appointment dates and access detailed travel arrangements—including taxis, flights, and hotel bookings—directly through the web and mobile applications. A pivotal feature allows patients to submit expenses, which the company can then review and either approve or decline, based on predefined patient trial budgets.

Furthermore, the application supports the booking of telephone appointments for eligible trials, enhancing accessibility and convenience for patients unable to attend in person. For trial coordinators, the system streamlines the management of patient profiles, enabling the creation of visits and coordinating trips for these visits. We played an important part in developing integrations with travel providers, allowing for the automatic booking of taxis and delivering real-time updates to patients about their transport status, including taxi arrival notifications.

This project underscores our commitment to working as part of a team. While we played an important role in the delivery of this project, we must appreciate that it would not have been possible without the partnership with our client, and other members of team that helped deliver such a vast system.
